Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries (ALSM) is a faith-based not-for-profit organization with health and human services that span the generations.

We touch the lives of more than 3,000 people each year throughout eight counties in west central Pennsylvania: Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Clearfield, Fulton, Huntingdon and Somerset.

We offer child care, children’s programs, counseling, in home care, adult day services and retirement living communities to meet the needs of the community. Our programs not only span the generations, but also provide opportunities for generations to grow and learn from one another through intergenerational activities at various program sites.

It is our mission “to serve people through a ministry of love, compassion, and mercy in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.”

ALSM is a member of Lutheran Services in America (LSA), a network of more than 300 Lutheran service organizations. An LSA affiliated agency serves 1 in 50 people in the United States and Caribbean each year.
